Artist Bio
Come as you are, but leave better than you arrived.
Kendall DuLaney (she/her) is a dancer and choreographer from Louisville, KY. Her ultimate goal is to own a dance studio devoted to racial representation for Black dancers. Kendall holds her Bachelor's of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky with a Dance Minor. Though technique was heavily emphasized in her formative years, she gained a fond appreciation for the combination of technical and artistic elements during her studies at the university. Her educational career was heavily influenced by the teachings of Susie Thiel, Theresa Bautista, Laura Neese, Stephanie Harris, and Halie Bahr. Under the support and guidance of the faculty, she performed in the department's 2022 Materialized show.
As a young dancer, she began her formal training at Dance Unlimited under Amber Cosman, Melissa Herberger, and the coach of the University of Louisville Ladybirds dance team: Sheryl Knight. Under their supervision, she cultivated the foundational elements for ballet, jazz, pom, and hip hop. Simultaneously, she began developing the performance quality and stage presence necessary for the all-star competitive industry. Her interests in the all-star realm were further peaked at the Vision Dance Center under Lee Eaves Mitchell, where she acquired numerous accolades on the state, national, and global levels. Kendall's journey as a competitive dancer carried her to the collegiate level as a member of the UK Dance Team.

Kendall is currently furthering her passions for dance and business. She strives to create the same welcoming and accessible atmosphere she experienced as an undergraduate student.
